Frozen Flowers
We have had some wonderfully hot weather recently so we thought it would be nice to cool down in a different way, during play! To help cool down the Pre School Owls took part in some scientific experiments; turning water and flowers into ice and then back to water again. Once the ice was placed in the water trays our Pre Schoolers were desperate to see what had happened to the water and flowers. They loved touching the ice then placing their cold hand on friends and staff faces, also thinking of different ways to melt the ice quicker to see the flowers inside.
Everyone learnt about reversible change, temperature, and properties of water all through play.
